Hi! Welcome to 24 van Riebeeck Street, Barrydale! This location, in the pulse of Barrydale, is home to the Mez Karoo Cottage, cooking classes, and my gallery studio.
Together with my son, Kyle, we ran the well-known Mez Karoo Kitchen from here for many years. But all good things do come to an end. And we put our beloved little eatery to rest.
I offer you the opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of this pretty & peaceful property by overnighting and, if you so wish, learning to re-create some of the delightful dishes, loved by many.
And quite possibly… you may even discover a little canvas that would look lovely on your wall—or a special bottle to take home from our small wine boutique, which features carefully selected small-batch wines and locally distilled spirits.
